As a former Chicagoan, and frequent visitor to that town, the sandwiches there are TASTIER. You haven’t lived until you had a full size Chicago Polish with sauerkraut and brown mustard! And every sandwich shop worth it’s weight has its own take on the hot Italian beef. To say nothing of a proper chicago hot dog…
As to Chicago Style Deep Dish Pizzas, there’s 3 places I like Lou’s, Giordano’s and Slice of Life (that last one is vegetarian) all are the awesome!!
ben, your comments alone have solidified the thought that i must spend time in chicago, more than just a layover in o’hare.
i loved chicago when i went. the people are friendly, it’s cleaner and roomier than nyc and philly.
they love putting burgers on pretzel rolls. OMG so freakin good!
you must go to wrigley for a ball game or two!
yolk has the best breakfast food ever.
and i agree with ben, lou’s has amazing pizza!
i don’t think i’ve ever heard a negative review about chicago.
Val, I also enjoy pretzel buns and visiting wrigley would be a huge deal for me as I hope to be able to visit the stadium for every team in mlb at one point.
Consider this trip penned onto my calendar.
