Super Sandwich Bowl
Greetings, Readers!
With the upcoming Super Bowl this weekend, I figured it was a good enough time to look at the fantastic foods of fabulous football functions.
Or just tailgating foods for short.
At The Danger Sandwich here, I’ve been a big fan of foods that are particular easy to make during tailgates. Coming from a city known for its fantastic tailgating events (Philadelphia. Go Birds!), I’d like to think I know a thing or two about grilling burgers and sausages while celebrating sports.
Also, beer.
This weekend I’ll be working with New Belgium’s Side Trip (a Belgian Pale Ale) and Modern Times’ Fortunate Islands (a tropical fruit hop flavor dominating this wheat beer). Shoot for those to break through the winter gloom this weekend.
So whether you’re rooting for the Broncos (Go Peyton!) or the Panthers (Go Cam!), check out these sandwiches below for inspiration for your own Super Bowl Tailgate Party.
The Downtown Dog from Dog Haus
Duck, Bacon, and Jalapeno Sausage from Link n Hops
Carney’s Spicy Polish from Carney’s
The Original Soul Dog from Otis Jackson’s Soul Dog
The Rancher Brat from Brats Bros.
The Doyer Dog from Dodger Stadium
