Friday Brewday: Angel City Brewing
Greetings, Readers!
It’s 7 AM on a Friday, so I’m sure we’re all about fifteen minutes away from happy hour.
Even though I’m sure some of you haven’t even started work yet.
So let’s daydream about a classic, amazing, delicious craft brewery right here in Los Angeles in the destination-worth Arts District.
With lots of year-round beers, seasonals, and limited releases, you might be hard up to narrow down what you want to drink there. Problem is, everything I’ve ever had from them is absolutely top notch.
So here are my top three favorites that you should shoot for first.
1.) Social IPA – for those of you wanting to enjoy hops, but still unsure about IPAs, this is the one for you. refreshing, low in alcohol (4.4%) and even though it’s hoppy, it’s not too overpowering. It’s downright delicious, with an amazing citrusy aroma.
2.) Berliner Weisse – a tart wheat beer, light in body and low in alcohol. It’s a refreshing alternative to hop heavy beers.
3.) White Nite – A total trip, it looks like a light flavored pilsner but the first sip of chocolate and coffee from this golden stout will blow your mind. Definitely try this one out.
Their other top notch beers include West Coast Wheat and Angel City IPA.
If you’re looking for a new neighborhood to visit, or want to check out a great nearby restaurant in Wurstküche (which I reviewed here) or Eat Drink Americano (also reviewed here), make sure you stop in at Angel City for a refreshing afternoon of delicious craft beer.
Until next week, Readers: Enjoy one for me.
